this is my first tourney and i'm doing ok. I'm in a knockout tourney  1 day time limit. Timed out in two games, killed my standing, and they were matches where i had the advantage. Don't you just hate that. However i still enjoy the tournies.

A big difference between The Dark Knight Tournament and this one is that The Dark Knight Tournament is set for 7 days per move and this one is set for 3, so this one will move twice as fast.

If you want to be a part of The Dark Knight Group, you don't need to have been in the tournament.  Everyone is welcome to join.

BTW, it's my friend who's in the dark knight... I really would like to be a part of that group.  An avid Batman fan, you know.

The 264 remaining games may means in at least 3-4 months...In the dark Knights tourney where I'm in the twelve remaining games after a3-4 week wait reduced to 8...

Thank you Billium246, to me it is really clear how the tie-break points are counting. I'd try it out after reading but could'nt find out how it works.

But your explanation is obvious and clear. Thank you!!!

Wow, its been really tough in my group with dogzilla.

thx for your kind words :p (i just read them in here) And i'm also glad that situations like the one we were in, are solved by letting both players advance :) On a sidenote, it would be hilarious if we were to play against eachother again =D

Good luck for the ones who r still playing for their spot and best of luck for the upcoming 2nd round for everyone, will be hard for sure !

Slyvia_egy_girl, unfortunately for you, it looks like wallexsmalls will be the only person from your group advancing to round 2.  Sorry.

In the case of a tie, both players advance.  There are many groups in this tournament in which 2 players are advancing.  In fact, group 96 has a 3-way tie and so more people from that group will be advancing than will be eliminated.

Now I understand the determination at the expense of lies and credibilty to the point of skullduggery why it was so overwhelmingly necessary for one competitor to behave as they did...

"Lord, please help me to understand that nothing is going to happen today that we can't handle together..."

The ratings and the tie-break points are 2 seperate options the Tournament Director has when setting up the tournament.  He/she can choose to make all the games rated or unrated, and he/she can choose to use the tie-break points, or simply allow both players with a tied score to advance regardless of who beat who.  The tie-break points and the ratings are not connected in any way.
