The player is currently now over 1200 (I was 1100 when I started now over 1500 -- I've played several games and increased the rating.)  The placement in the tourney is based on ratings at the start of the tourney, not current rating.

I'm playing someone whose rating is over 1200 in my group. What's going on? Is anyone controling this tournament? It just seems silly when the rating bracket doesn't including him. It's all very well saying that you will be moved before the start date but they need to be moved during the tournament as well to make it fair.

Also two players can move on to the next round if there is a tie break.

According to the rules one from each 5 person group advances.  In case of a tie and same tie break I believe two can go forward.

Anybody knows how the groups are formed?  At random, mixed, per country or using other criteria?  Just out of curiousity...  Hope to make it past the first round first...
