I tried all the moves before i thought of castling. I prefer the 'real puzzles' and not the made up ones with lame tricks that could never happen in a real game.. Nice mate but lame puzzle anyway

Ive done this once before. The first move was difficult for me, but after that it came pretty easily.

How would it come to be that all the pawns are lined up in the rook file like this anyhow?

Interesting exercise, though somewhat unrealistic. Thank you.

Nice puzzle, but i hate puzzles like en passant in the first move, but at least this does not need to show the previous move.

Interesting... makes me wonder what one would have to do to get pawns all lined up like that in a real game Undecided

To get to this position every black peice would have to be taken by a pawn! (15 diagonal pawn moves - 15 black peices)  I wonder if this is possible.

Also, it would be simpler to mate by Rb1, followed by a conventional rook / king mate.
