I've definitely seen threads much less interesting than this one before.

And you think I'm being sarcastic.

I'd love to contribute to this interesting thread but I'm rather captivated by rearranging my collection of belly button fluff.  I'll bring you an update on my hobby when I have categorised and cross-referenced my collection in about six months.

This is where it get's REALLY interesting!  Have I ever told you about my theory about wormholes in the universe?  Well, all those socks that everyone is missing...  They are sucked through wormholes under your bed, get shredded in the process and are then reintroduced into our world as belly button fluff via peoples navels!

There is a pizza delivery company in NZ that is buying peoples souls in exchange for a costumer service rewards program.  This concerns me.  Do you think they woudl let me buy these souls off of them? I have a rather large collection but this ad campaign could ruin me.

Speaking as an accountant the likely procurement method is of Great Interest to me.  Perhaps you could lease the souls from the pizza company in order to keep their value off the balance sheet thereby enhancing your profit to asset ratio.  Then using an off-shore vehicle you could loan the souls back to the original owners by zzzzzzzz............

I would like to help you but reading a dictionary would be far to exciting for me at the moment.  Ooh the very thought!  I'm going to sit down over here in this dark corner for the weekend to calm down.

would be plagiarism: "the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work." [Wikipedia]

What we have here - in so far as we have anything at all - is parody: "A literary or artistic work that imitates the characteristic style of an author or a work for comic effect or ridicule" [The Free Dictionary] and an investigation into the nature of being boring. Many achieve it seemingly without effort. Others strive for it - yet it eludes them.

Luke_Skywalker: is fatboyxxl your mother? If so, one of the central Star Wars mysteries has been revealed; we now know both who your father was and who your mother is.

fatboyxxl: immensely boring!. Those about to fall asleep - salute you!

a slightly amusing one, I'm afraid.  reading this has made me chuckle ever so slightly and lifted my spirits.  thanks!  Not that my chuckling is a bit interesting to anyone.  So this post is rightly placed.

this bears a strong resemblance to the paintings of Malavich and the music of John Cage - brilliant - absolutely brilliant - (but boring)

Are phone numbers in the U.K. really just 6 digits in a row like that?

Nice try! Do you really think I would give out genuine UK phone numbers? What kind of a fool do you take me for?
