White is certainly in no mood to offer gambits and the like. Each opponent is looking to blow their rival off the board in such a tactical line, but they also have enough respect to refrain from gambiting.

This game does have a rather long book line. Understandably, interest in the opening is rather limited, especially an opening such as this one that has far more research behind it's name than I could ever present here. The basic idea behind the opening goes something as follows: Black wants to counterattack, even if that involves losing a little kingside protection. White is prepared to develop quickly and go for the 'throat' right away. An imbalance is (voluntarily) formed on the queenside (with black controlling) and kingside (white).
