white should have played 56. Rg5+ to push the black King back and then push g3 to g4.

58. Rf7?? Rf1+ wins the white rook and the game.  They must have been in time pressure.  Thanks for posting the game.  This game is a very instructive rook and pawn endgame study!

58. black should have played Ra6+ to steal the white Rook.
