The great Capablanca had the ability to dispose of strong opponents without any effort. After an opening mistake by Spielmann, his play afterwards is accurate to the most minute detail.

Alekhine is afraid of Capa, but his perseverance and Capa's confidence proved to be enough for  Alekhine to take the crown.

I remember Jonathan Speelman :)  I wish Alekhine gave Capablanca a chance for a rematch.  Fischer spoke well of Capablanca, and so do Karpov.  JR can't be called 'the chess machine' for nothing.

Jose Raul Capablanca, the only latinamerican chess world champion. His abilities are there for anyone who wants to learn postional, tactical and king's attacking. Thanx for posting part of Capablanca's legacy...

His games are simple and easy to follow. They are great for teaching positional ideas. For example you wouldn't use Tal, Shirov, or Emory Tate to teach anything positional.
